Gypsy Vanner Horse Registries

  • Gypsy Vanner Horse Society: In 1996, Dennis and Cindy Thompson imported the first Gypsy Vanner horses to North America and started a registry of the breed in America.

  • The Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association: The GCDHA was formed as a way to protect the breed, record the parentage, preserve the history, and promote the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse as a breed in North America.

  • Gypsy Cob Society of America: The Gypsy Cob Society of America, Inc., a non-profit corporation, was founded in May of 2003 to educate the US about the breed, maintain a permanent registry devoted wholly to the interests of the Gypsy Cob to preserve and protect hundreds of years of Romany bloodlines.

Gypsy Vanner Horse Farms & Associations

  • Drum and Feather Farm: Gypsy cobs and drum horses of exceptional performance abilities.

  • Unicorn Meadows: Unicorn Meadows one primary mission is to promote an understanding and appreciation of the unique qualities of that rare breed of Gypsy horse known in the United States as a "Vanner."

  • All-D-Reiterhof Farm: Armin Wagner runs one of the premier sport horse quarantine stations in the northeast United States. Take our word for it — he's great with horses (he helped deliver Zeta!).

  • Sleepy Hollow Equestrian Center: Judi Minnerly's farm in California is the new home of our beautiful filly Emma. This site has many pictures of Emma.

  • Horse Journal: Highly recommended! This excellent publication provides practical solutions and hands-on information that horse owners can take into the barn and use. They take a back-to-basics approach to training, nutrition, and horse care, with evaluations based on field trials and scientific research, rounded out with a great deal of real-world experience.

  • Belladonna Gypsy Farm: Breeding only the finest Gypsy Vanner Horses in North America.

  • Purcell's Gypsy Horses: Purcell's Gypsy Horses is a small farm nestled on the banks of the Gallatin River in Big Sky, Montana. The pristine Gallatin River is known for its rugged beauty and abundance of wildlife. People from around the world are drawn here to backpack, fly-fish, and kayak; where better than to raise these magical Gypsy Cobs, Drum and Vanner horses? We are regularly visited by moose, elk, deer, bear, and big horn sheep; and occasionally will be privileged with a glimpse of a wolf or mountain lion. If the Gypsy Horses aren't observing the wildlife they are watching kayaks and colorful river rafts as they float by their pasture.

  • Painted Gypsy Farm: Painted Gypsy Farms is a small farm located in beautiful Naples, Fl. Owned and operated by Rene & Victoria Ellis. Our goal is to breed quality Gypsy Vanner Horses with an emphasis on temperament and true to the breed conformation. It is not our intention to become the largest breeder of the Gypsy Vanner horse, but to be known as a quality breeder one can trust.

  • Harlequin Gypsy Horses: A great place to meet other Gypsy horse enthusiasts.

  • North Star Gypsies: Home of some lovely Gypsy horses.
