How I Got Started

Our love of these horses has carried us through over 14 years of a dedicated breeding program. We have worked closely with top reproduction specialists at Cornell University's Furlongs Facility, New Bolton, and currently are working with staff at the University of Missouri. The Blarney Stone Acres breeding facility is used to provide on-site classroom educational experiences for MU's veterinarian students. We have equine specialists working with our horses on a weekly basis to insure constant care for our stallions, mares and foals thus providing healthy animals to our clients. At the same time, we are collecting vital breed specific data that will be invaluable to the future of the breed and is being shared with many equine professionals.

The horses of Blarney Stone Acres are involved in equine competitions showing in open shows under top judges from a variety of breeds. Constantly earning blue ribbons in halter, driving and under saddle, our horses continue to demonstrate our motto of (ingredients)... We were honored to be selected to represent the breed at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky. We have received many honors and recognition's, one of which is the outstanding sportsmanship award given by our fellow breeders. We also spend much time presenting clinics, public seminars, and working with national media personnel to help spread research based information to present and future owners of Gypsy Cobs.

Currently, we are enjoying our new home in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Proud to be members of our new community, we continue to enjoy our Gypsy Cobs and new friends by taking part in community events, parades, horse shows and just good ole fun trail rides.
